Raskasta Joulua 2018 tour features an impressive list of Finnish and international superstars

The 14th edition of Raskasta Joulua (“Heavy Christmas”) tour will take off from Lahti on the 16th of November. Yet again the tour features a long and impressive list of Finnish and international metal and rock vocalists. This year Christmas songs get a heavier makeover from, among others, symphonic metal pioneer Tarja Turunen, Nightwish bassist/vocalist Marco Hietala, Sonata Arctica frontman Tony Kakko and ex Suburban Tribe and Kyyria singer Ville Tuomi. International artistry will be delivered by classic 70s Deep Purple legend Glenn Hughes, Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider, ex Rainbow and Deep Purple frontman Joe Lynn Turner and Amaranthe starlet Elize Ryd. Find all nearly 30 tour dates and towns with complete performer listing below. The tickets are available now – and over 20 000 have already been sold!

Last year’s Raskasta Joulua tour included 25 shows most of which were sold out with nearly 70 000 tickets purchased nationwide. In addition to that, the TV recording of the sold out Helsinki show had over one million spectators during the Christmas holidays. The tour has earned itself a position as a new national Christmas tradition. The concept was spawned in 2004 by guitarist Erkka Korhonen. Gaining more popularity each year, the tour is now well-known for featuring top domestic and international metal and rock vocalists performing heavy metal inspired versions of Christmas songs. The massive show includes impressive use of stage lighting and projections as well as great amounts of pyro.

You can find here all the tour dates. Check those dates when Tarja will be joining!
